Mr. Bill Munk, Director

Mr. Munk helped formulate and currently directs Taratec's Industrial Services Consortium (ISC), a collaborative-based group of energy utilities that use Taratec's expertise and services for a variety of customer support activities.

As Program Manager for the ISC, he has worked with Southern Company, Exelon, AEP and other major utilities to produce industry profiles, process technology assessments and technology placement programs that support these utility's industrial customer load growth and/or energy conservation initiatives. He has produced technical reviews of equipment and state-of-the-art developments for chillers, distributed energy systems and energy storage. He also provides a technical support "hot-line" that provides quick turnaround answers and solutions to questions related to energy use in industrial processes, and a "news alert" service for the ISC membership.

Mr. Munk has a diverse technical background which has been applied to other Taratec engagements in technology strategic development, RFP preparation and proposal evaluations for the State of Ohio. He has reviewed and rated over 200 technical proposals related to State solicitations involving topics from fuel cell developments to biomedical equipment. His background includes team management and participation in utility sales support, marketing, market development and R&D. In the latter area his responsibilities covered all aspects of energy operations including supply, transmission, distribution and utilization.
