Ms. Jill Cape, Graphic Designer

Ms. Cape utilizes graphic design and computer expertise to design electronic publication, presentation, and promotional material layouts in preparation for desktop or print shop publication. Her experience includes more than 20 years of art and design experience, more than 20 years of writing experience, and more than 16 years of computer experience.

The software she utilizes in the design process includes: Adobe software (InDesign, PageMaker, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Acrobat), QuarkXPress, and Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access). Her processes in design include articulation of continuity and visual communication in layout, attention to fine detail in graphical images, accuracy and visual interest in data presentation, and attention to visual aesthetics in design and color selection.

Ms. Cape has been responsible for the design layout of the Office of Technology Policy's annual publication, The Dynamics of Technology-based Economic Development: State and Science Technology Indicators. She has also designed the layout for the state chapter in National Science Foundation's publication of Science and Engineering Indicators since the 2004 publication. Additional design projects include presentation materials, promotional materials, website design and coding, and reports, most of which have included large amounts of data presentation.
