- Advanced Energy Storage:
We assisted a major energy company with the formation of strategic partnerships to assist in commercializing their technology development of an energy storage technology for internal use. Taratec identified several potential partners and we developed a strategy to approach each regarding collaboration. - Digital Audio Broadcasting:
Taratec was engaged to conduct a study of the U.S. market for digital audio broadcasting equipment for a consortium of three radio broadcasting equipment manufacturers interested in a new business opportunities. The clients used our research to create product development strategies, identify the best alliance partners, and develop their market entry strategies. - Patient Monitors:
A defense contractor with unique technical competencies in the area of defense communications equipment requested that we identify potential areas of fit for several of these technologies in the commercial sector. As a result of Taratec's services, a joint venture was formed between the client and a manufacturer we identified for them and a new type of remote patient monitor equipment was introduced into the market. - Machine Tooling:
A company that had developed an equipment upgrade for single spindle screw machines engaged Taratec to determine the size of this market, the features needed by the customer base, and the pricing targets desired by the market. The product was successfully introduced into the marketplace, causing the company president to remark, "We considerably shortened our product development time and enhanced our sales based on what we learned from [Taratec's] work." - Lithium Thin-film Batteries:
A materials supplier to the lithium thin-film battery market wanted to expand production capability, but market opportunities and sales projections were needed to support their acquisition of investment capital. Taratec evaluated the market potential and determined the commercial position of this technology for the client.
